You can stay in Hungary for a maximum of 90 days with or without a visa.<\/li>\n<li><strong>residence permit:<\/strong> a residence permit is required for a stay in Hungary exceeding 90 days. In the event of a positive assessment, this authority provides the invitation letter with a clause.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The invitation letter is valid for 365 days.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Hungarian_citizenship\"><\/span>Hungarian citizenship<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The child of a Hungarian citizen acquires Hungarian citizenship upon birth.<\/p>\n<p>Those who are not Hungarian citizens can acquire Hungarian citizenship by naturalization.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Acting_Authority\"><\/span>Acting Authority<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Applications for residence permits are judged by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmbah.hu\/index.php?lang=hu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Immigration and Asylum Office<\/a>. Third-country nationals staying in Hungary can submit their application in person in Hungary.
